Abstract A process for producing a case for receiving a watchwork made from a disposable metallic container is proposed. In this, the used container is deformed in its longitudinal axis and, if appropriate, in the radial direction. A recess for introducing the watchwork is likewise provided by reshaping. The case described is economical to produce since it does without raw materials which have to be prepared specially.
