A novel composition for use in a process for cooking wood to form pulp and processes for using same are provided. The composition and variations thereof are useful in enhancing the uniformity of wood cooking and reducing the rejects in a pulping process for the production of pulp. The composition comprises esters of block copolymers having the general formula (see fig.I) wherein x, y, and z each have a value of at least one, or esters of polyoxyalkene glycols.

On dévoile une nouvelle composition pour utilisation dans un procédé de cuisson du bois pour former de la pâte et des procédés pour utiliser cette dernière. La composition et les variations de cette dernière sont utiles pour accroître l'uniformité de la cuisson du bois et réduire les refus dans le procédé de réduction en pâte pour la fabrication de la pâte. La composition comporte des esters de copolymères blocs de formule générale (voir fig. I), où x, y et z ont chacun une valeur d'au moins un, ou des esters de polyoxyalcèneglycols.
