ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable storage battery charging system adaptable for use in an automobile is shown. The system can be connected to the automobile electrical system through the cigarette lighter adaptor socket therein for charging a storage battery while the automobile is being operated. A series of lamps are provided in the system to act as a constant current means as well as indicator of the condition of the battery being charged. A meter is also provided for monitoring the state of charge of the battery.
