This invention is a method, and apparatus (100) for treating gas for delivery into a body cavity, body space or body surface of an animal. The apparatus (100) comprises a housing (122) defining a chamber (128) having an entry port (124), and an exit port (126). One or more agents are released into the gas stream that flows through the chamber (128) so that the gas stream carries the agent to the animal.
