A compound lens arrangement for use in an array of such lens arrangements comprising at least two lens elements including a front lens element having a front lens surface which is the largest diameter lens surface in the compound lens arrangement, wherein the exit pupil of the compound lens is bounded by and lies in the plane of the edge of said front lens surface. This enables the compound lens arrangements in an array to abut. The invention particularly relates to compound lens arrangements for use in projectors which projectors are used in an array in an autostereo projection system and allows adjacent projectors to abut.
La présente invention concerne un système de lentilles composées utilisé dans un réseau de tels systèmes de lentilles. Ce système de lentilles comprend au moins deux éléments lentille comportant un élément lentille frontale pourvu d'une surface d'élément lentille frontale qui est la surface de lentille de plus grand diamètre dans le système de lentilles composées. La pupille de sortie de la lentille composée est bornée par le plan du bord de ladite surface de lentille frontale et repose dans ce même plan. Les systèmes de lentilles composées peuvent ainsi être contigus dans un réseau. Cette invention concerne notamment des systèmes de lentilles composées utilisés dans des projecteurs, eux-mêmes utilisés dans un réseau, dans un système de projection autostéréoscopique, les projecteurs adjacents pouvant, selon l'invention, être contigus.
