A dishwasher detergent composition containing an alkali-metal silicate with an average molar ratio of SiO2 to M2O of 1 to 4.2, preferably 2.5-4.2, where M is an alkali metal that is non-corrosive for glass, crystal, porcelain and decorative prints and at its use concentration generates a washing medium with an Si(OH)4 protonated silica monomer concentration of at least 2.5 mmole per litre of the washing medium, is disclosed. The use of said composition for preventing or controlling the corrosion of glass, crystal and porcelain items and of decorative prints on glass and porcelain as a result of repeated washing in a dishwasher is also disclosed. Furthermore, a washing method using said composition in a dishwasher is disclosed.
Composition détergente pour lave-vaisselle, à base de silicate de métal alcalin de rapport molaire SiO2/M2O moyen de l'ordre de 1 à 4,2, de préférence de l'ordre de 2,5 à 4,2, M représentant un métal alcalin, non-corrosif vis-à-vis du verre, du cristal, de la porcelaine et des décors, engendrant, à la concentration d'usage, un milieu lessiviel présentant une concentration en monomère silicique protoné Si(OH)4 d'au moins 2,5 mmole/litre de milieu lessiviel. Utilisation de ladite composition pour éliminer ou limiter la corrosion des articles en verre, cristal, porcelaine et des décors sur verre ou porcelaine par lavages répétés en lave-vaisselle. Procédé de lavage en lave-vaisselle à l'aide de ladite composition.
