ABSTRACT An autotuning combiner particularly for use in combining signals for radio telephony transmission. The combiner has a series of filter cavities each with an adjuster for fine-tuning the cavity to an input carrier signal. The combiner cavities are stabilized from positional drift in the absence of a carrier signal by means of a mechanical brake which holds the adjuster or a pilot signal generator which stimulates the absent carrier signal.
