An enclosure (10) for a food processor including a body portion (18) adapted to be secured to a base (12), and a cover (16) pivotal-ly attached to the body portion. The body portion includes sidewalls (30), a back wall (32), and an abbreviated top wall (34). The cover includes side-walls (36), a front wall (38), a top wall (40), and an abbreviated back wall (42). A flange (54) extends outwardly from the sidewalls and the top wall of the body portion and a gasket (60) is provided thereon to create a seal between the cover and the body portion of the enclosure.
