A computer-based method for vehicular part remote evaluation and management is presented. The method comprises obtaining from a first location description information regarding a state of a vehicular part. The description information is transmitted to a second location. The description information is analyzed in order to provide an assessment of the state of the vehicular part and the assessment information is transmitted back to the first location, allowing informed decisions to be made as to the disposition of the vehicular part.

L'invention concerne un procédé informatisé destiné à évaluer et à gérer à distance les pièces détachées pour un véhicule. Le procédé consiste à obtenir dans un premier endroit des informations de description relatives à l'état d'une pièce détachée pour un véhicule. Les informations de description sont transmises à un deuxième endroit et analysées pour permettre de faire une estimation de l'état de la pièce détachée; l'estimation est retransmise au premier endroit, ce qui permet de prendre des décisions en connaissance de cause en ce qui concerne la disposition de la pièce détachée du véhicule.
