The invention concerns the production of compounds containing NH2-groups by hydrogenating compounds containing at least one unsaturated carbon-nitrogen bond with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst at temperatures not below room temperature and under increased hydrogen partial-pressure, preferably in the presence of a solvent, in which one (a) uses a cobalt and/or iron- containing catalyst, and (b), after conversion of the compound to be hydrogenated and/or the selectivity of the product desired drops below a defined value, or after an increase in the quantity of an undesired by-product beyond a defined value, one breaks off the hydrogenation by stopping the supply of the compounds to be hydrogenated and, if desired, of any solvents present, (c) one treats the catalyst with hydrogen at a temperature between 150 to 400 ~C and a hydrogen pressure between 0.1 to 30 MPa and selects a treatment time of 2 to 48 hours, and (d) one subsequently continues the hydrogenation of a least one compound containing an unsaturated carbon- nitrogen bond as well as the regeneration of cobalt and/or iron-containing catalysts.

Procédé de fabrication de composés renfermant des groupes NH¿2?, par hydrogénation de composés renfermant au moins une liaison carbone-azote insaturée, au moyen d'hydrogène, en présence d'un catalyseur, à des températures non inférieures à la température ambiante et sous une pression partielle élevée en hydrogène, le cas échéant en présence d'un solvant, caractérisé a) en ce qu'on utilise comme catalyseur un catalyseur renfermant du cobalt et/ou du fer, et b) après diminution du taux de conversion, par rapport au composé à hydrogéner, et/ou de la sélectivité, par rapport au produit souhaité, au-dessous d'une valeur déterminée, ou après augmentation de la quantité d'un produit secondaire indésirable au-dessus d'une valeur déterminée, on interrompt l'hydrogénation en stoppant l'alimentation des composés à hydrogéner, éventuellement des solvants utilisés, c) on traite le catalyseur par de l'hydrogène, à une température comprise entre 150 et 400 ·C, la pression en hydrogène étant maintenue entre 0,1 et 30 Mpa, et le temps de réaction étant compris entre 2 et 48 h, et d) on poursuit ensuite l'hydrogénation de l'un au moins des composés à liaison carbone-azote insaturée, ainsi que la régénération des catalyseurs renfermant du cobalt et/ou du fer.
