The present invention relates to an event management system for managing or assisting in the management of activities and/or resources related to an event occurring at one or more geographic locations, such as voting sites for an election. The system preferably includes a database and a management module accessible to event managers. The database stores human resource data, such as user profiles associated to users of the system, and physical resource data, such as information relating to equipment, objects and the like, associated to events. Preferably, the management module comprises a site profile associated with each event site, and links the human and physical resource data to the site profile. Preferably, each user may access and modify their corresponding user profile.
