The membrane can be used in the separation of hydrogen from mixtures comprising hydrogen and CH4, CO2, CO, N2, and the like, and in the separation of water from alcohols having 1-3 carbon atoms, optionally in the presence of an inorganic or organic acid

L'invention porte sur une membrane hybride organique-inorganique microporeuse à base de silice ayant un diamètre moyen de pore inférieur à 0,6 nm et comprenant des fractions organosilanes de pontage représentées par la formule =O1,5Si-CHR-SiO1,5= ou =O1,5Si-CH(CH3)-SiO1,5=. La membrane peut être utilisée dans la séparation de l'hydrogène à partir de mélanges comprenant de l'hydrogène et CH4, CO2, CO, N2 et similaire et dans la séparation de l'eau à partir d'alcools ayant 1-3 atomes de carbone, facultativement en présence d'un acide inorganique ou organique.
