This invention provides a curable fluoroelastomer composition comprising: (A) a fluorine-containing polymer or a blend of fluorine-containing polymers each comprising interpolymerized units derived from one or more fluorine-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomers; (B) an aromatic polyhydroxy crosslinking agent; (C) at least one organo-onium compound; and (D) a monohydroxyfunctional phenol. The compositions provide for a method of improving scorch safety of curable fluoroelastomer compositions.

L'invention porte sur une composition durcissable d'un fluoroélastomère comportant: (A) un polymère fluoré ou un mélange de polymères fluorés comprenant chacun des unités interpolymérisées dérivées d'un ou plusieurs monomères fluorés non saturés en éthylène; (B) un agent aromatique de réticulation du type polyhydroxy; (C) au moins un composé organo-oniomique; et (D) un phénol à fonction monohydroxy. La susdite composition sert à améliorer la résistance à la carbonisation de fluoroélastomères durcissables.
