Abstract of the disclosure The present invention provides as new compounds the N-phenyl- N'-benzoulureas of the general formula Image (I) The compounds of the formula (I) have been found to possess powerful insecticidal properties. They are prepared by a process in which a substituted aniline of the general formula Image (II) is reacted with a benzoylisocyanate of the general formula Image (III) if appropriate in the presence of a diluent or solvent, or a substituted phenyllsocyanate of the general formula Image (IV) is reacted with a benzamide of the general formula Image (V) if appropriate in the presence of a diluent or solvent.
