ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a conveyor apparatus adapted to be located downstream of a check-out station, and/or optical reader, said conveyor apparatus comprising an upper frame structure including a conveyor belt, a driving mechanism for driving said conveyor belt, and a roller which said conveyor belt passes, a lower frame structure supporting the upper frame structure such that the upper frame structure, is movable in the vertical direction; and a lifting device between said upper frame structure and said lower frame structure, by means of which said upper frame structure can be moved in said vertical direction.
