MULTILEVEL EMBOSSING OF SHEET MATERIALS Abstract of the Disclosure The process herein is used for achieving multilevel mechanical embossing of a sheet material having a fused or cured wear layer. An embossed pattern is provided in register with a printed design under the wear layer. A two stage embossing is carried out. In the first stage embossing, a texturing is placed on the raised areas of the finished product. The second stage embossing provides deep embossing, which would be in register with the printed design under the wear layer.
