ABSTRACT THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an apparatus for processing curd and similar materials and in- cludes a vacuum chamber; entry means being pro- vided for the material and a passage leading from the entry means to the vacuum chamber. The passage is so formed as to compress mater- ial passing therethrough and means are provided to move the material from the entry means, along the passage and into the vacuum chamber. Exit means are provided in the vacuum chamber and means are also provided so that material exit- ing from the vacuum chamber can be moved away therefrom.
