- 8 - Abstract of the Disclosure Thermoplastic elastomers having improved high service temperatures and increased tensile strength are prepared by grafting cationic polymerizable monomer to halogenated backbone, said grafting being effected in the presence of inert organic solvent and methyl aluminum sesquichloride as catalyst whereby improved polymerization rate and increased monomer conversion result.
