Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to an apparatus for placing a base cup on the base of a cooled and finished hollow plastic article in conjunction with an apparatus for prepar- ing the article including a mold for forming the article. The apparatus includes an ejector for facilitating removal of the article from the mold, A base cup applicator holds a base cup in lateral spaced relationship to the mold, and the applicator is relatively movable into and out of engage- ment with the cooled and finished article while the article is on the ejector to supply a base cup to the article.
