ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE SULFUR PLASTICIZING COMPOSITION A sulfur plasticizing composition comprising an aromatic polymeric polysulfide, a linear aliphatic poly- sulfide and an olefinic-type unsaturated carboxylic acid. The presence of unsaturated acid moderates the evolution of hydrogen sulfide when the plasticizing composition is reacted with sulfur, thereby preventing a rapid, uncontrolled degassing of the reaction mixture.
