ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to novel substituted indolo- pyrones of the general formula: Image wherein R1 and R2 may be hydrogen, hydroxy, lower alkoxy or lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro, or may be taken together to form a methylenedioxy group. R3 may be hydrogen, lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, aryl (such as phenyl), or substituted aryl. R4 may be carboxamido, cyano, or tetrazolyl. These compounds possess antiasthmatic and antiallergic properties.
