ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE High-viscosity polytetramethylene terephthalate is produced by compounding a polytetrameyhylene terephthalate precondensate with Sb203 and subjecting the resulting compound to solid-phase condensation until the required relatively high viscosity is reached. A colourless granulate of the required high viscosity is economically obtained and may be directly injection-moulded to give mouldings having correspond- ingly favourable properties.
