METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRESOWING TREATMENT OF SEED Abstract Distinctive feature of the method resides in that the seed is treated, in a sequence, first with polarized non-co- herent light in a wavelength range from 6300 to 6500 .ANG. and then with monochromatic polarized coherent light at a wave- length 6328 .ANG.. The apparatus comprises two units. One of the units combines a source of monochromatic radiation with its scann- ing mechanism and the other unit comprises a radiation chamber accommodating an additional light source having an optical fil- ter and a polaroid, the lower part of the chamber having a receiving trough for treated seed with an aperture which extends at right angle to the scanning beam from the monochro- matic radiation source.
