ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Aniline and alkyl anilines are obtained by the reaction of ammonia with cyclohexane or cyclohexane having up to two lower alkyl substituents at elevated temperatures, such as 300-650°C., in the presence of at least 1 mole percent water (based on total of cyclohexane and water) with selected catalysts, such as zinc oxide alone or with vanadium, molybdenum, or titanium oxides and the like. - 1 -
