ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of packaging an object in flexible thermo-plastic film material comprises moulding the film by differential pressure in a die cavity to form in the film a recess having the same surface area but a different contour to that of the object, the film then being re-shaped after removal from the die cavity to form a container having a contour corresponding to that of the object, the object then being deposited in the container which is closed by another film sealed around the mouth of the container. The parts of the recess corresponding to corners and edges of the object have a larger radius of curvature, prior to re-shaping of the film, then the radius of curvature of the corresponding edges or corners of the object, so that the stretch of the film during the moulding operation is less than if the film was moulded in a die cavity in the shape of the object. - 1 -
