SUSPENDED SOUND ABSORBING SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A suspended sound absorbing system is disclosed and includes a horizontal supporting structure, a hanger sus- pended from the supporting structure, and a sound absorbing panel suspended from the hanger. The horizontal supporting structure comprises an exposed roofing truss member. The hanger comprises two L-shaped sections connected at the top portion and terminating at their lower extremity in up-turned restraining portions. Said sound absorbing panel comprises a sound absorbing material completely enclosed in a heat-shrunk plastic material and having a rigid exterior frame about its outer perimeter with said frame having a set of four openings having two openings at the front and two openings at the rear of its outer upper surface, wherein said set of openings being located near the ends of the outer upper surface of the frame. The lower portions Or the L- shaped section of the hanger engage the frame through a set of openings to support the sound absorbing panels whereby one L-shaped section engages two openings at the front of the frame and the other L-shaped section engages two openings at the back of the frame.
