ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The use of dimethyl 1,2-dibromo-2,2-dichloroethyl phosphate (naled) in a synthetic resin (PVC) collar for controlling fleas on animals such as dogs and cats. A manufacturing procedure for the collar is described which involves casting a dispersion containing a volatile surface porosity control component to produce a porous surface thereby to enhance the naled release rate to a level adequate for controlling fleas during a period of about 4-1/2 months.
