A SYSTEM FOR MICRO LABELS FOR DOCUMENTS, WITH CODED INFORMATION OF DOCUMENT ON LABEL Abstract of the Disclosure A method, and arrangement, for providing small labels for documents, the labels carrying in coded form all the information on the document, produces information in a predetermined code and format on a small label, as the information is typed - or otherwise printed - onto the document. The label is then stuck on the document at a convenient position, for example at a corner, and the document then carries a "memory" of the information actually on the document. The memory can be used in the same manner as punched tape or magnetic tape memories for amending or updating the information on the document by an electronic typewriter or other device. The labels can also be prepared for existing documents by scanning the document and producing a coded output related to the information on the document. - i -
