ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE : A method for forming highly efficient traffic regulating markings on a roadway area, comprising the steps of : forming a traffic wear resisting layer having a small given thickness and consisting of a pigmented first resin, and applying to the layer retro-reflective globules the minimal dimension of which is many times greater than the thickness, the globules having been preliminary wetted with a resin compatible with and differentiated from the first resin whereby when the globules contact the layer the wetting resin forms on the layer a collar which, when the resin is set, provides a traffic abuse resist- ing connection to the layer.
