ELECTRICAL TOGGLE SWITCH DEVICE Abstract of the Disclosure An electrical toggle switch device is provided for mounting in a panel opening on an appliance such as a power tool and includes a switch housing or body inserted in the panel opening whereby a front portion of the switch device is accessible to the operator of the appliance. A toggle assembly projects from the front portion of the housing whereby the operator can activate and de-activate the appliance by pivoting the toggle from one position to another. A guard arrangement including spaced apart rigid elements flanking the toggle assembly serves to prevent inadvertent activation of the appliance while enabling quick access to the toggle assembly from either a forward or side direction when the operator wishes to quickly de-activate the appliance.
