ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved window structure is provided which has a frame surrounding a plural glazed sealed element. The frame comprises inner and outer facing frame assemblies of frame members possibly made of plastics material. These facing assemblies are engaged on structural frame members possibly made of metal. The structural members are connected at corners by expansion joints. The expansion joint may comprise a threaded member engaging in a threaded hole of one structural member and sliding in a slot on an adjacent structural member.
