ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to bestatin inhibiting aminopeptidase B, leucine aminopeptidase and bleomycin hydrolase, enhancing the antitumor effect of bleomycin and having the following structure and a process for the production thereof: Image which comprises cultivating Streptomyces olivoreticuli having the identifying characteristics of A.T.C.C. 31159 in a nutrient medium under aerobic condition until substantial activity to inhibit aminopeptidase B is imparted to said cultured medium. Bestatin may be recovered from said cultured medium by an extraction or adsorption method.
