Abstract of the disclosure: Isopropyl esters of carboxylic acids having up to 20 carbon atoms are prepared by passing propylene and the respective carb- oxylic acid continuously in parallel flow over an acid ion exchanger of the sulfonic acid type. The service life of the catalyst is greatly improved by adding a small amount of a strong mineral acid.
