ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Precipitated proteins are separated from albumin- containing suspensions obtained from the recovery of albumin from blood plasma, by an alluvial filtration of the suspensions through a fabric filter element having a mesh size of between 20 and 200 microns. The process allows to obtain clear filtrates which do not require any additional clarification or purification filtration and which, thus, permit optimum performance of the operations in the recovery of albumin to be obtained.
