ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Flexible synthetic plastics hose having inner and outer hoses and a coiled reinforcing strip there- between, the strip forming a coiled cavity defined by the narrow sides of the strip and by stiffening ribs arranged on the strip, the ribs forming a further cavity and diverging relative to the plane of the strip so that the cross-sectional form of the coiled cavity is conically narrowed radially outwards.
