ABSTRACT: The extraction method employs the repelling and attractive forces of liquids relative to- each other and relative to the material of an extraction tube. Oblong drops of the one liquid surrounded by the other liquid are rolled through a narrow tube of a few millimetres, resulting in a large contact area and an internal stirring in the drops, so that a very high extraction efficiency is obtained. An extraction apparatus is described which is particularly suited for stationary or mobile water- pollution measuring stations.
