ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermoplastic pharmaceutical solution container in- cludes a neck portion having at least one port through the neck portion. A thermoplastic port protector or closure covers the port and defines a frangible section. A seal is formed with the closure by forcing a die heated above the melting point of the plastic material into the neck portion, removing a portion of the port protector and forming a depression. The frangible section is thus formed in the vertical side wall of the depres- sion.
