PIPE CONNECTION FOR PLASTIC PIPES ABSTRACT A pipe connector for plastic pipes has a connecting sleeve flanged at one end and, near the other end, an internal abutment for the pipe end. An O-ring is located in a groove in the sleeve and sur- rounds the pipe. Two semi-cylindrical shells having an internal radius equal to the pipe's external radius have an internally grooved flange at one end adapted to straddle the sleeve flange. The shells have teeth-like ridges and are tightly held together so that the ridges bite into the pipe wall.
