Abstract Disclosed is a container of the type having a container for housing an article including at least one dry component. The container maintains a sterile environment until opened. The container has an inner receptacle for the dry component. A normally closed inlet communicates with the inner receptacle and comprises a septum penetrable by a syringe needle, the septum being self-healing following penetration and withdrawal of the needle. The syringe can be used to supply hydrating fluid to the dry component without destroying the sterile environment in the container.
