18 A B S T R A C T LUBRICANT COMPOSITION CONTAINING AN AMIDE Motor oil compositions formulated for use as crankcase lubricants in internal combustion engines are improved by including in said motor oil a small amount of at least one C8-C24 aliphatic monocarboxylic acid amide, resulting in reduced fuel consumption of said internal combustion engines operated with said motor oil.
