SLURRY SCREEN Abstract of the Disclosure A self-cleaning screen for separating fibrous and other solids from flowing slurries, the screen having a flow surface formed by parallel laterally spaced screen wires disposed perpen- dicular to the flow direction of the slurry, each screen wire having a flat rearwardly declining top bounded forwardly by an arcuately convex leading edge and rearwardly by a sharp trailing edge and downwardly converging flat sides, the screen inducing a ripple motion in the slurry flowing across the screen wires and directing solids over and liquid downwardly between the wires.
