Abstract of the Disclosure: A process for the prepara- tion of copolymers of maleic anhydride and relatively long-chain alkenes by suspension polymerization of these monomers in the presence of a free radical initiator and a dispersant at an elevated temperature, in excess alkene as the suspension medium, wherein a poly(alkyl vinyl ether) is used as the dispersant.
