ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is provided for making a hose construction. An irradiated polyethylene tube is supported on a mandrel with adhesive material applied against its outside surface. A first tubular layer is braided against the adhesive means, followed by a tubular layer of neoprene rubber, followed again by braiding a second tubular layer against the neoprene rubber. This provides an assembly which is subjected to a controlled temperature environment. This simultaneously volcanizes the rubber and bonds the tube and tubular layers together, thereby defining the hose construction as a unitary structure.
