A TILT INVARIANT PRESSURE SENSING DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Disclosed is an improvement to an apparatus for measuring and/or recording small pressure differences by means of a manometer-like device having a reservoir and a measuring cell, wherein the improvement comprises having the reservoir of the manometer-like device at least partially surrounding the measuring cell. A substantially tilt invari- ant pressure measuring apparatus results. Accuracies of plus or minus about 0.05 dynes/square centimeters are achieved by means of the disclosed device which can measure, record and self-calibrate.
