ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to novel proscillaridin analogues and to processes for their preparation. The novel compounds possess a good cardiotonic activity and compounds of the invention which have been tested possess an improved resorption quota when compared with proscillaridin. The novel compounds are thus potentially useful in the treatment of cardiac insufficiency. Processes for the production of the novel compounds are described and examples of certain of the novel compounds are given. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the novel compounds are described and exemplified.
