- 13 - PORTABLE SMOKER FOR FOOD ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable smoker includes a lipped base panel, an open base frame engageable therewith, a smoke box with a base and a food supporting grill spanning same engage- able within the base frame and a cover panel slidably en- gaging the upper side of the smoke box. The base frame is provided with a ledge adjacent one open side thereof. When in a position with the ledge adjacent the base, the smoke box and the lid are stored within the base frame. When in a position with the ledge adjacent the upper side there- of, the smoke box is supported above the base frame and a source of heat can be engaged within the base and below the smoke box. Smoke producing material is placed on the base of the smoke box and food can be supported upon the grill. When not in use, the entire assembly can be stored in a relatively small box-like configuration.
