ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A self-aligning bearing has a load-measuring means received in a recess in the outer bearing ring. One of the sliding elements carried in the cage between the inner and outer bearing rings is attached to a support plate at the top of the recess. A load transducer is positioned between the support plate and the bottom of the recess and the support plate which bears upon the transducer is located by a clamping means which permits limited radial movements of the support plate against the transducer.
