ABSTRACT: A welding torch for plasma-MIG-welding in which the non-consumable electrode and the contact tube are accommodated in separate spaces in the housing which are separated by a partition. The housing is preferably made of a solid block of copper. The distance between the non-consumable electrode and the contact tube may be comparatively small, which also results in a short distance between the contact tube and the nozzle, so that the extension of the welding wire may be small during welding. The construction of the welding torch is very compact. - 11 -
