Case 3785-70 CLINCH NUT FOR PLASTIC PANEL ABSTRACT A sheet metal clinch nut configured to be attached to a plastic panel. The clinch nut may have an extruded threaded barrel portion for receiving a threaded fastener. A portion of the plastic panel is extruded punched or otherwise deformed into the recess and is formed around protruding teeth from the flange of the nut These teeth, with the plastic extruded therearound, lock the nut both axially and rotationally to the panel.
