A microwave structure is connected to the source of high frequency electromag- netic energy and includes a surface wave transmission circuit or line along which high frequency electromagnetic waves travel. Heating of a material to be heated takes place as the high frequency electromagnetic waves impinge upon the material and penetrate thereinto. -1-
